It would not be uncommon to find DOS readable 
documents on a NTFS (Windows NT) hard drive.  
NTFS Reader allows DOS to access a NTFS drive, 
including viewing the long file names.  Your 
NTFS drive appears as a normal DOS drive, except 
that it cannot be written to (it essentially 
appears to DOS as if it was a CD-ROM drive).
