GhostScript (ver 5.10) Abandoned Freeware PostScript (PS and EPS) printer file viewer. International version. Type "quit" to exit the viewer. GhostScript can also perform some file conversions (see the included Batch files), but dedicated conversion utilities (such as "PDFtoPS") are usually superior at conversion. Note that GS.EXE has been renamed from GS386.EXE. This is because the GhostScipt conversion Batch files are all written to expect GS.EXE as the name of the executable file (a legacy of the Unix port). If you change it back, you will have to edit the Batch files accordingly. The GhostScript home directory MUST be "C:\GS" or you will only be able to view files placed within the GhostScript home directory (another legacy from the Unix port). If you do use the default "C:\GS", then you can add a "PATH" statement in your Autoexec.bat file and view *.PS files from anywhere.
