NoShell (ver 1.00) Abandoned Freeware NoShell is a small TSR that prevents a copy of "COMMAND.COM" from being loaded. The purpose is to restrict users from shelling to DOS from a running program (such as to intentionally break free from a menu to directly explore the PC). To de-install the TSR, type "NoShell /U". Be aware that some programs will load a second copy of Command.com in order to perform some of their normal tasks, and this TSR will prevent that from occuring (so test your programs under NoShell). Note that NoShell only prevents COMMAND from loading, so if used within a Windows command line, it will NOT prevent "CMD" from loading. Also, we have NOT tested NoShell under an environment where an alternative command processor (such as 4DOS) has been loaded, and the documentation is mute as to how the program will work in such an environment.
