Reminder (ver 1.56) Abandoned Freeware Reminder is intended to display a "reminder" message if the date matches when Reminder is run. The message is stored in the file "REMINDER.DAT", as well as instructions when it should be displayed (i.e., x days ahead). This is usesful in bachfiles as part of a MOTD (Message Of The Day). Parameters are: %Yxxxx : This string is replaced by the differance between the year of the event and xxxx. This is handy for birthdays, if you put the year of birth in the xxxx, you'll see the age of the person. %D : This is replaced with the day of the week (monday, tuesday, etc.) Depending on which language file you use. %L : This is replaced with the number of days until the eventdate. Nice for countdowns. %Sx : Here the x should be the path and filename of a sample file. Best is to use .WAV files, sampled at a samplerate of 11000. This sample is played whenever the event message is displayed.
