Tag Editor will allow you to view the ID3v2 and ID3v1 tags of 
MP3 files.  MP3 files must be in the same directory as Tag Editor.  
Tag Editor allows you to change only the ID3v1 tag of a MP3 file.  
Leaving the program (press [ESC]) or selecting a different file 
will automatically save any ID3v1 tag changes into the MP3 file! 
Press [F1] for help using the editor.  

Note that a MP3 file can have BOTH an ID3v2 and ID3v1 tag, because 
the ID3v2 tag is stored at the beginning of the MP3 file, while 
the ID3v1 tag is stored at the end of the MP3 file.  Most MP3 
players will only show the ID3v2 information however, if both tags 
are included in an MP3 file.  Also, most MP3 file editors will 
only allow you to modify the ID3v2 fields of "Title", "Artist", 
"Album", "Year", "Genre", and "Comment" (and most players will 
only display these fields as well).  

If you create a ID3v1 tag, the tag must always include a "Track" 
number and "Genre" number.  If you fail to create one, Tag Editor 
will insert the number Zero into these two fields.  Note that 
Tag Editor only accepts the Genre ID number, rather than a name, 
in the Genre field (see the id-number-to-genre-name table below).
