SILENCE is a TSR that will minimize the 
length of all sounds sent to the PC 
Speaker.  Useful if you want to suppress  
annoying "beeps-n-boops" that are often 
built into older DOS programs.  

Note that this program can only shorten 
the playtime of the sounds, it cannot fully 
eliminate them.  The only solution to 
completely eliminate PC speaker sounds 
is to modify your computer hardware with a 
physical toggle switch that can electrically 
disconnect the internal PC speaker (or 
alternatively, route the PC speaker wiring 
into your sound card, then mute the card).
