PILOT (ver unknown) Abandonware PILOT stands for Programmed Instruction, Learning, Or Teaching. This is a simple version of Pilot, written in 1985. Pilot is a very simple programming language which has been mainly used in instructional settings. Progams can be written using as few as three programming commands. It has its origins in the mid-70s, and was adopted by classroom teachers who needed to find uses for the mini-computers which began to enter schools at that time. It is especially good for writing dialogues and accepting responses from users with a great deal of tolerance.
