Btrieve Record Manager

This Btrieve Record Manager is required to run a custom database 
that was built using the Btrieve transactional database design 
program.  DOS Btrieve went up to version 5, and was a TSR 
(Terminate-and-Stay-Resident program) which functioned as an 
API (Application Programming Interface) database engine, supplying 
applications programs with function calls to implement a multi-user 
database with record locking.

Note that although the Btrieve Record Manager needed to access a 
database is freeware, the DOS Btrieve transactional database design 
program is abandonware.  Btrieve has been superceded by PervasiveSQL, 
but PervasiveSQL can only read records written in Btrieve 6.15 and 
higher.  Use the runtime interpreter when you only need to -read- a 
database.  However, so that you also have the ability to manipulate a 
pre-version 6.15 DOS database to extract the information fields, I am 
including the full two disk set of the Abandonware Novell DOS 
transactional database design program, version 5.10 (requires setup).
