FreeGEM (ver 3.2.3-paac10a) Abandoned Freeware FreeGEM is a freeware clone of the Digital Research's ClassicMac-like GEM. GEM is a Shell program that runs on top of DOS. Default GEM expects that the Shell and any applications be in the C: drive, and that the disk format be FAT16. Although some menus can be accessed from the keyboard, FreeGEM requires a mouse. This version of FreeGEM has been installed to C:\GEMAPPS. To start the Shell, go to C:\GEMAPPS\GEMSYS, and run "GEMVDI.EXE". If you need to reconfigure any settings, go to C:\GEMAPPS\GEMSYS\SETUP and run the appropriate batch file.
