CMOS is a command line utility which can save and restore 
regular and Extended CMOS memory to a file, as backup in 
case of battery failure.  CMOS can be run in a batch file 
(such as your scheduled backup/maintenance batch file).  


NOTE: CMOS will not work on XTs (no CMOS), or on computers 
with an EISA or MCA architecture (exotic CMOS).
