DAYTIME (ver 2.2.9) Abandoned Freeware DAYTIME reads a DAYTIME Server to request the current time from the Network. The Time protocol uses TCP or UDP port 13, and is defined in RFC-867. You must have a "WATTCP.CFG" file in the same directory as DAYTIME. The Wattcp file needs to first be configured with your IP information. DAYTIME [-?dvu] server eg. DAYTIME 129.97.128.1 DAYTIME watmath.uwaterloo.ca DAYTIME is intended for testing and measurement purposes in computer networks. The server returns the current date and time as an ASCII string with an unspecified format. An example output may be: Tuesday, February 22, 1982 18:45:59-PST DAYTIME option 'v' displays version with which DAYTIME was compiled and the compilation date, as well as listing of valid switches. Option '?' just displays a listing of valid switches.
