EMUL87 (ver 1.01b) Abandoned Freeware EMUL87 is a math co-processor (FPU) emulator TSR. It will NOT load if a hardware math co-processor is present. With the major exception of old "SX" computers, this TSR will probably not be necessary. Emulation of an FPU is only required if you have a math intensive program that will not start if it cannot detect a Floating Point Unit. Because with the emulator running all math calculations will be performed by the CPU (which is involved in other computing processes), emulation should be turned off when using any program that does not absolutely require a FPU, so that you don't get a performance (speed) reduction. EMUL87.exe = the emulator TSR EMOFF.com = turns the emulator off (but doesn't remove it) EMON.com = turns the emulator back on
