SMB (ver 2.09) Freeware The ability to slow the speed of the FSB and PCI bus is an effective means of slowing the PC to play old DOS games. SMB controls the SMBus, which is present in most modern PCs. The SMBus host controller can communicate with various kinds of motherboard peripheral devices, such as the PLL clock generator (which controls your FSB and PCI speed), SPD EEPROM on the DIMM module, and various sensor/monitor circuits. Currently the program only supports motherboards with the intel i82371 [PIIX4] or i82801 [ICHx] southbridge (these are typically found on iTX, LX, BX, ZX, and GX motherboards). SMB requires DPMI, and will find and execute CWSDPMI if this file is in the same directory as the SMB executable (bypassing the need to pre-load DPMI services). file = SMB.zip =============== CWSDPMI (release 7) Freeware Included is a complementary DPMI service for V2 of DJGPP. file = CSDPMI7B.zip
